As part of the program of the FRISPA Student Days in the framework of the Moldova State University (March 13 – 17, 2023) within the FRISPA Seminars chapters, on March 15, took place a public lesson “Supporting Dialogue on Gagauzia Autonomy”, presented by Steve Young – Country Manager, CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation and Natalia Djandjgava – Project Manager CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation – the MSU postdoctoral studies researcher.
💬 In the discussions during this event, moderated by Valentina Teosa, Doctor Habilitatus, University Professor, took active part the students – Romana Vasilachi, Lolita Melnic, university lecturers such as Colațchi Angela, PhD, Associate Professor, Sterpu Vladimir, PhD, Cojuhari Irina, PhD researcher, as well as the participants from abroad within the academic mobility of the Erasmus+ program – visiting lecturer Dr. Volkan Kalender from KutahiaDumlupinar University, Turkey, and master’s student from Germany – Keila Durheim, US citizen .
👩‍🏫To the audience was proposed for discussion the results of the CMI organization’s activity regarding the implementation of the project in the Republic of Moldova. GAGAUZIA DIALOGUE is a three years project that aims to contribute to a constructive and sustainable dialogue between Chisinau and Comrat through strengthening institutions, capacities and ownership around the Parliamentary Working Group on Gagauzia (PWG). To support this process, the project brings together legislators, experts and interested parties from Chisinau, Comrat and across Moldova to find joint solutions to common issues related to the Gagauzia autonomy.
👉The project is being implementing during 2022 – 2024 period by CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Foundation and is funded by Sweden.
